About yourself.

This is one of the more creative and excellently written self descriptions I have ever come across.

When I’m not teaching art, I make my own… What else? I secretly love John Denver,I’ve arm wrestled my mom over who can hold my baby niece next, made paintings in Irish meadows, and tossed a coin over my shoulder into the Trevi fountain in Rome.

I’ve eaten fried turkey testicles in Charleston, IL, chopped my hair from very long to Demi-Moore-in-Ghost short on a whim, was an extra in a movie, and played on an all boys’ baseball team before there was girls’ softball. I’ve owned an art gallery, lost an office chair race down a steep hill, and drove a $400 car which I let my students paint. I’ve welded stuff, worn roller skates and the occasional wig to work, sang live band Kareoke, hit a grand slam, hit the side of my garage with my car, snuck from the lawn to the front row at a sold out concert, and made a life sized portrait of myself as Jane of the Jungle.

I’ve laughed till I cried and vise versa, done donuts in a full sized station wagon, slept in a hammock, was a waitress in a diner, fell asleep during yoga class, skinnydipped more than once, and have not broken any bones.

I make myself laugh. I focus on “the now”. My friends and family know how much I cherish them. I strive to communicate with grace – I feel great when I get fresh air and exercise – I have learned to take good care of myself and love the life I’ve created.

If you can relate to any of the above, we just might get along. (Or you could be insane; check into that) I hope you are funny, and are interested in many things, I hope you have been loved and can give that back to other people. I hope you are kind to your soul by giving yourself room to grow, and if I’m not the girl for you, I wish you luck in your search.

I guess being an artist helps.
